How Our Gelatinized Black Maca Powder Is Different

Gelatinization is a specialized process in which maca roots are heated and put under pressure in order to “explode” starch molecules. This renders the resulting maca powder easier to digest. As the process only uses water and heat, it does not add any type of “gelatin” to the final powder. There are several key aspects that set gelatinized maca apart:

• Gelatinized maca is the easiest maca to digest and best for anyone with a sensitive stomach
• A special process heats the roots is to remove the starch content, making black gelatinized maca powder more concentrated than its raw counterpart (you may need to take less to get similar benefits)

Is Geltanized Black Maca Powder A Better Choice Than Capsules?

This is an excellent question and the answer really depends on the individual taking maca root.

If you enjoy the taste of maca powder (gelatinized black maca has a nutty, caramel-like taste) then the powder is a better choice for you.
