Our Organic Gelatinized Black Maca Powder is made from 100% black maca roots grown in the high Andes of Peru. The maca is processed with heat and pressure to remove much of its naturally occurring starch, creating a preparation that many people find easier to digest than raw maca.
This pure black maca root powder is certified organic, Fair Trade, non-GMO and vegan. It contains no fillers, sweeteners or unnecessary additives. Despite the name “gelatinized,” no gelatin or animal ingredients are used in the process.
Gelatinized black maca powder is made exclusively from black maca roots rather than yellow, red or a blend of maca colors. Our black maca comes from an organic farming cooperative in and around Junín, Peru, one of the traditional maca-growing regions of the Andes.
After harvest, the maca is processed to remove much of its natural starch before being milled into a fine powder. This gives gelatinized maca a different preparation and texture from raw black maca powder.
Gelatinization is a preparation process in which maca is heated and pressurized to break down and remove much of its naturally occurring starch. Because raw maca retains those starches, some people find a gelatinized maca powder easier to digest.
“Gelatinized” does not mean gelatin has been added. The term describes the processing method only. Our gelatinized black maca contains no animal ingredients and remains completely plant-based and vegan.

I’m 53 and train 5 to 6 days a week both cardio and weight including running. Ive been training since I was 16. Yes Ive tired everything natural on the market for increase lean muscle growth, endurance and focus. While on duty as a firefighter, one of the guys was using your product. So I asked him what’s up with the ” Maca.” He said try it, its unreal… yeah right! OK so in the past 4 weeks my workouts are great. I have amazing endurance and focus as well. I’m 53 and train 5 to 6 days a week both cardio and weight including running. Ive been training since I was 16. Yes Ive tired everything natural on the market for increase lean muscle growth, endurance and focus. While on duty as a firefighter, one of the guys was using your product. So I asked him what’s up with the ” Maca.” He said try it, its unreal… yeah right! OK so in the past 4 weeks my workouts are great. I have amazing endurance and focus as well. It took me a few days to get use to it ( alittle gastro upset if you don’t eat with it) but its been everything and more. I’m only using maca and a protein powder. Ill never go back. I have a pituitary issue where my LSH/FSH are low which causes lower T than I would like. My Endo suggested Maca Root. I have been taking it for a couple months now and my total T went from low 300s to mid 600s. I have tests done every 3 months so I’m able to monitor the change. I think that I tend to have more energy during the day since I started using Maca but I’m not totally sure yet. Going to give it some more time and review again. The only complaint and it’s super mild is that the wording on the product page made me think that the packaging contained individually packaged servings but rather it’s one package. Minor but thought I would mention it.

This product gave me great nutrition and energy. Great in a smoothie with cacao powder. I recommend this product. However, I do NOT recommend THE RAW MACA. Everyone should buy gelatinized maca. The ancient Incas never ate raw Maca. They ate it cooked.

My daughter told me about Maca powder when I expressed my concern about not being as in control of my memory and thought processes. Since Alzheimer’s disease runs in my family, I try to do whatever I can to remain as sharp as possible for as long as possible.

I had been previously eating/drinking the raw common brown/beige Maca for a few years, since trying the Gelatinized black this past month I am a true believer now. While the Raw Maca was very good at the beginning, the benefits seem to wear off even after doing a month on month off cycle.
