All of our Maca is carefully and consciously grown, processed and handled.  It comes from an organic farming cooperative in and around Junin, Peru. We work only with producers who own and manage their lands at a local grass roots level.  The cooperative of farmers is committed both to organic farming and to producing the highest quality maca products available anywhere.  We're very happy to support their work.

Storage/Shelf Life:

Maca keeps well for up to 24 months provided that it is stored in a sealed bag out of direct sunlight and at below 70% humidity.

    I was happy to find a way to try different varieties without having to buy each from different sites. I had only tried yellow maca before. This was a great way to try them all and for a slight discount over purchasing individually. I could definitely tell a difference with a couple of the types and what's most beneficial for me. i'll be buying my maca here from now on. Thank you!

    My girlfriend and I learned about maca through a local juice store in Chicago called "Owen and Alchemy". They have a drink called the "Number 85" which is a combination of cold pressed coffee, almond butter, maca, cacao, honey, and vanilla. It is a wonderful hangover cure for all types of hangovers. We soon lifted their recipe and made the drink at home in our vita-mix. After a few shopping sessions, we decided to look elsewhere than our local supermarket for maca. Driving factors were availability, price, potency, and purity. After reviewing many sites online (mostly amazon) we found The Maca Team. We decided to give the sampler a go to suit both male and female needs as well as combination. Both of us have noticed the difference from the supermarket brand in terms of effect. We have also managed to save quite a bit of cash by buying 2lbs instead of many 8oz bags. When we come close to running out of supply, i know where we will come to re-up... The Maca Team. Thank you for providing a good product at a good price.

    Sampler Package is a Great Idea

    Just found this company while shopping online for Maca. I was used to eating the gelatinized Cream Maca Powder from Whole Foods but I wanted to expand my horizons with different kinds of Maca root, even the raw kinds. My girlfriend and I ordered this sampler package and I've been enjoying the black Maca while she enjoys the red Maca. This is a great deal for anyone just starting out in the Maca world.

    I ordered the,Red. Black, Cream and Premium Maca Root Powder, My favorite is the Red Maca Root. I mix them with my shakes. I am not wild about the taste, but then, I went straight to using a tablespoon. I think I am going to cut that in half. If I find something that is good for me, and I don't like it, all the more reason to drink it faster. :)

This product is amazing! I have used other cheaper brands of white maca with fairly good results, but after trying the Maca Team maca, I noticed within two weeks all of my menopausal symptoms had completely vanished. At 76 and 73 years respectively, that is a big deal; and at comparable cost too. The Maca Team brand is very special.

I've tried various maca brands over the last 20 years and The Maca Team brand is very special. There is definitely a difference when it comes to the quality and colors of the maca. This red maca does seem to nourish certain parts of my body while the black maca nourishes something else. I know I've been missing the nutrition these maca provide. I am really happy that I chose the Maca Team, today you can find many distributors selling Maca powder, however quality of the powder is impossible to compare.
