Both powders and extracts are made from red maca roots. While red maca powder is the most common form in which to take red maca root, red maca extract is the easiest. In order to get your maca serving with an extract all you need to do is place two droppersful of the liquid under your tongue for 30 seconds to 1 minute. On the other hand, taking powder requires that you mix it with a liquid or add it to another sort of recipe. The maca extract has really done wonders for me! I am going through peri menopause and also has lupus and the hormon imbalances would trigger or exacerbate my lupus flares. With Maca I am so much better!! Also, I think I may have gluten sensitivities so if you don't see any effects from the maca powder, try the extract before giving up. Maybe you are not absorbing well. This happened for me. The maca extract has taken away my hot flashes, my anxiety from my hormone fluctuations, a bunch of symptoms related to my lupus flares and lots of more symptoms I can't even remember now!!! I thank God and The maca team every day for this great help!!

Where to even start! Well, I’m a 52 year old, post menopausal woman. I decided to try red maca for the extreme hot flashes I was experiencing. I’ve tried so many “natural” supplements for over two years and most would provide some relief but it would only last a short while. With the red maca (pills and tincture) I experienced immediate results! In fact, I was a bit over zealous with my usage which caused some extreme changes as my body was trying to balance my hormones, I called the maca team and spoke to the mother of the owner. I love the family business aspect. She actually used those words and said “I think you were a little over zealous lol. I was so ecstatic about the results that I wanted to keep it going. She was so kind and listened so empathetically. She advised that I start over and start slower. I actually started my monthly cycle which I hadn’t experienced in years! It was wild!!! A whole 7 days of bleeding like in my younger years. This only happened once and it was due to my own eagerness. Fast forward a few months and I’ve ordered multiple times. I only take the tincture at this point because it’s easier for me than the pills. I take everyday upon awakening and the energy I get is incredible! That’s my other issue. I have struggled with energy for most of my life. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and the maca give me energy like NOTHING I’ve never tried. It’s not a caffeine energy and there is no crash, ever. I’m not sure how long menopause will last but I will continue to take red maca for energy even after menopause. I 1000% trust this company and their products. Please stop buying maca from Amazon and get the real stuff from these guys!
