Our yellow maca extract is made with 100% yellow maca roots along with vegetable glycerin. A unique, proprietary 4-step process is used to concentrate and preserve the nutritive components of our yellow maca root in liquid form. It has a sweet, pleasant taste, is low on the glycemic index and is suitable for everyone. All of our extracts are great to carry with you and enjoy throughout the day. We are the first company to offer all colors of maca root in glycerin extract form.
Nutrients become more bio-available during the extraction process which means that the body absorbs them more easily.

Yellow maca root is the most common of all 3 major colors of maca roots. It makes up about 60% of each years maca crop. For this reason, it has been the most researched and studied of all the colors. Yellow maca root is indeed a nutritional powerhouse, containing nearly all essential amino acids and free fatty acids, significant levels of vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, and C, minerals such as iron, magnesium, zinc, and calcium, a high concentration of bio-available protein and nutrients unique to maca called macaenes and macamides. Maca is also an "adaptogen," or substance that is thought to help the body fight against and overcome stress.
Our yellow liquid maca extract is made from our certified organic yellow maca root chips, which are traditionally grown and harvested on an organic farming co-op in a remote pristine part of the Peruvian Andes.
To date hundreds of studies, all available publicly in the Pubmed database, have found yellow maca to be useful to raise natural energy, to encourage fertility, to balance hormones, to increase motivation and desire, to help skin, to strengthen bones and more.

When it comes to our extracts in particular, we’ve worked hard to create the ideal process for making them. We start with 100% whole maca root chips. We use only the highest graded maca roots in producing these chips. Once chosen, these chips are processed with vegetable glycerin instead of alcohol in a 4-step process to isolate maca’s nutritional content. We’ve chosen glycerin because unlike alcohol it does not denature any of maca root’s constituents while at the same time preserving maca’s enzymes, polysaccharides and aromatics. The result is a sweet tasting liquid extract that anyone, including children and diabetics can use and benefit from. I've tried various maca brands over the last 20 years and The Maca Team brand is very special. There is definitely a difference when it comes to the quality and colors of the maca. This red maca does seem to nourish certain parts of my body while the black maca nourishes something else. I know I've been missing the nutrition these maca provide.
