Maca Superfood Blends

We make a point of stressing that the vast majority of our maca root products are just that: maca root, no additives or fillers. Whether you’re purchasing raw maca powder or liquid maca extract, you know exactly what you’re getting when you buy from The Maca Team.

That said, we do offer some maca blends combining our vegan maca root products with other healthy ingredients that are sure to boost your energy and your immunity. So let’s take a look at two of our more unique maca products: Maca Blue and The Morning Motivator, our maca coffee substitute.

What is Maca Blue?

Our Maca Blue blend combines maca with potent, nutrient-rich spirulina. What is spirulina? This cyanobacteria, or blue-green algae, has been safely consumed for centuries in countries around the world. It’s understandable that you might hesitate at the idea of ingesting something with the word “bacteria” in it. But spirulina is considered to be a probiotic, or a healthy bacteria that can aid in digestion, immunity, gut health, and more.

The Harvard Medical School recognizes spirulina as a good source of beta-carotene, various minerals, and gamma linoleic acid, which is an essential fatty acid. And in combination with maca root in our Maca Blue blend, it becomes a veritable powerhouse of nutrition.

A number of studies have suggested that spirulina “may increase the production of antibodies, infection-fighting proteins, and other cells that improve immunity and help ward off infection and chronic illnesses, such as cancer.” According to the Mount Sinai Health Network, amino acids make up 62% of spirulina, and it’s a rich source of protein and other nutrients.

There are numerous reported health benefits associated with consuming spirulina, which may include improving blood lipid profiles and lowering your cholesterol, among other things.

All this combines to make Maca Blue a delicious and colorful way to add maca and the incredible boost of spirulina to your diet.

The Morning Motivator: Maca Coffee

“Maca coffee” is something of a misnomer – in fact, our Morning Motivator blend doesn’t contain coffee at all. Instead, it’s made from a combination of some key wholesome ingredients that act to keep you powered through the day.

Available in both sweetened and unsweetened varieties, maca coffee is a great way to get your daily dose of maca in the morning without the jitters and afternoon crash you might expect from a traditional caffeinated beverage. Both versions contain only a few organic and certified vegan ingredients to create the perfect morning pick-me-up.

The Unsweetened Morning Motivator combines tri-color gelatinized maca powder with raw cacao and raw mezquite for a delicious flavor profile that’s packed with antioxidants. This trio can contribute toward balancing your hormones and providing you with sustained energy, and can be “brewed” simply by mixing with hot water or in combination with your favorite milk.

Our Sweetened Morning Motivator is a little more complex, but just as good for you. In addition to the ingredients in our unsweetened blend, it contains raw coconut sugar for low-glycemic sweetness and raw lucuma powder for whole food carbs and a bit of tartness.

Why Try Maca Blends?

Maca on its own is already an incredible superfood, packed with vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds that support energy, balance, and overall well-being. But when you combine it with other carefully chosen organic ingredients, its benefits can go even further. That’s the inspiration behind our unique blends like Maca Blue and Morning Motivator, both of which are designed to give you a powerful nutritional boost while offering rich, satisfying flavors. These blends turn a simple daily ritual into something that nourishes both body and mind.

We believe that eating well should never mean sacrificing taste. That’s why our Maca Blends are crafted to be just as enjoyable as they are beneficial. They make a perfect addition to your fitness or wellness routine, whether you enjoy them in the morning for a clean energy lift or later in the day as a wholesome pick-me-up.

Although our pure maca powders and liquid extracts remain our core offerings, and the foundation of everything we do, our Maca Blends offer a fun, flavorful way to add variety to your daily regimen. They’re proof that healthy choices can also be delicious ones.
