Maca for Energy and More: Organic Maca Blends from The Maca Team

We’re upfront about what our maca products contain for a number of reasons – but most importantly, because we think you should know exactly what it is you’re consuming and where it came from. Conscious eating is a big part of eating healthy, and that requires shopping conscientiously. When you’re browsing the shelves at the grocery store, though, that can be difficult. Many brands can get away with slapping an “organic” label on their product due to loopholes in regulations. That’s why shopping from reliable, honest retailers is so important.

When you’re shopping from The Maca Team, we want you to know what you’re getting. And for most of our maca products, it’s just that: 100% pure, organic non-GMO maca grown and harvested in Peru. But today, we’d like to highlight a few maca blends available on our website and give you an idea what makes them so special.

Maca Blue

Maca Blue is a vibrant superfood blend designed to support optimal energy and wellbeing. It contains only organic ingredients that work for natural hormone balance, increased vitality, immune support and antioxidant support. Its natural radiant blue color comes from blue spirulina powder, which is made from a blue-green algae that, like maca root, is considered an anti-inflammatory superfood high in antioxidants. As with maca root, you should keep in mind that it isn’t a magic fix for your ailments – that means it should be part of a healthy diet and exercise routine. But there are numerous reported health benefits associated with consuming spirulina, which may include improving blood lipid profiles and lowering your cholesterol, among other things.

That makes Maca Blue a delicious and colorful way to add maca and the incredible boost of spirulina to your diet.

The Morning Motivator

We’ve gone into some detail about the virtues of our maca coffee substitute in the past, but we simply can’t recommend it enough. Available in both sweetened and unsweetened blends, maca coffee is a great way to get your daily dose of maca in the morning without the jitters and afternoon crash you might expect from a traditional caffeinated beverage. Both versions contain only a few organic and certified vegan ingredients to create the perfect morning pick-me-up.

The Unsweetened Morning Motivator combines tri-color gelatinized maca powder with raw cacao and raw mezquite for a delicious flavor profile that’s packed with antioxidants. This trio can contribute toward balancing your hormones and providing you with sustained energy, and can be “brewed” simply by mixing with hot water or in combination with your favorite milk.

Our Sweetened Morning Motivator is a little more complex, but just as good for you. In addition to the ingredients in our unsweetened blend, it contains raw coconut sugar for low-glycemic sweetness and raw lucuma powder for whole food carbs and a bit of tartness.

If you’d like to elevate your morning maca experience, try out this recipe for the “Bulletproof” Morning Motivator:
