Our standard raw maca root powders are sun dried before being ground and packaged for sale. An important factor to consider before purchasing is what your ideal serving size might be. Typically we recommend starting with 1-3 teaspoons of raw maca powder in the morning with your breakfast, whether you’re mixing it into a glass of water or a bowl of oatmeal.

It’s still 100% organic maca root, but instead of being sundried it’s immediately dried in a low-temperature dehydrator immediately after being harvested. This results in a product with more glucosinolates, nutrients known for their anti-inflammatory effects that research indicates can also help fight cancer. Another key difference is that this maca is lighter in color and has a spicier flavor than our standard maca, and depending on the sensitivity of your digestive system it might be a little more difficult to stomach. For that reason we suggest only 1-2 teaspoons of premium maca powder until you can be sure of what your body can handle.
What makes gelatinized maca powder unique? Our gelatinized maca has been pre-cooked to break down the starch content, which makes it easier to digest.
