New Labels - Same Great Maca Products

You might have noticed by now that we've made a few changes to our packaging and labels.   We started shipping the new labels in early November 2020 and just updated our website with the new images.

The only thing that has changed are the labels for all products and the bags for powders.   Rest assured, that the quality and formulas of our products remain the same.   We still work with the same amazing co-op of farmers in Peru to grow high quality, grade A maca roots in the traditional way.   We still order in small batches to preserve freshness and we still package our products in our warehouse in Tennessee to assure purity.

So, why did we make the changes?

  1. First, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration released strict new labeling regulations for foods earlier this year.  In order to be in compliance, we needed to update several features on all of our labels including nutritional panels and claims.   If you compare old vs new labels, you'll notice that there are less nutritional facts on the new ones.   This is due only to the new  FDA regulations.   We sorry for that, but you should know that have kept full nutritional data for our products on our website.
  2. Second, it had been almost 6 years since our last major label update, so we decided to take the opportunity to modernize our labels with our new logo, new style, recipes (on the powders) and some beautiful photos of maca roots and maca farms from Peru.
  3. Finally, about the bags....we've used the gold foil bags for our powders for many years.  Disappointingly,  we've had some issues with supply over the past 18 months.   Earlier this year we found white bags that are actually thicker and sturdier.

The main takeaway here is that although the look is slightly changed, you can count on the products inside being the same as you've come to expect from us.

If you have any questions, please let us know.  We're always happy to help.

Enjoy the day!
