What Is Gelatinized Tri-Color Maca Powder?
Gelatinized tri-color maca powder is made from a traditional blend of the three primary maca root colors: yellow, red, and black (Lepidium meyenii). For most of maca’s long history of cultivation in the Andes, the roots were consumed together rather than separated by color.
This product follows that traditional approach by combining approximately 40% yellow, 30% red, and 30% black maca roots. The roots are then gelatinized — a preparation process that reduces starch content and produces a powder many people find easier to digest.

Clumpy...
This is not the first time buying this product, but this is the first time that I've had this problem. We have opened 1 bag so far, so not sure all the bags have this problem. The bag we opened has a lot of clumps. The clumps don't break even in a shaker bottle with the wire ball inside. Not sure if the others have this issue, but I hope they don't. Hi Chad: This is uncommon but does happen sometimes since maca powder is hydro-static. Please reach out to us and we can replace. Thanks - The Maca Team

Wanted to Love it
I really, really, really, wanted this product to work for me. I bought this to try since I had previously tried a different brand and it upset my stomach. Sadly, this product did the same. About half way though my beverage, I could feel a chill come over me and my stomach started churning in a very concerning way. I barely had a tablespoon in my drink. I didn't finish it but still had stomach pain and diarrhea for 24 hours. As far as using the product, the taste was strong and while not awful, it wasn't pleasant either. While I recognize it's exactly what it's supposed to be, it was too strong for me and even if I didn't have tummy issues, I wouldn't have been able to use it as often as I had intended because of the taste. From The Maca Team: HI Victoria, this does happen to a small percentage of people, even with gelatinized products. If you still want to try maca, we suggest taking one of our liquid extracts. That won't cause any stomach upset. Let us know if you have questions.

Drive is up!
My main reason for taking this product was because my drive was low and I was having midlife male issues due to some of the meds i take. This stuff! My drive is doing wonderfully now and performance issues are a thing of the past for me!

Great, fresh maca!
I've been super happy with the quality of this product! I also received it very quickly. The maca powder is fresh and flavorful. I mix 1-2 tsp in a cacao drink I make every morning. It tastes great and has seemed to help me with sustainable, non-caffiene, energy levels in the morning. It has also helped me feel more balanced hormone wise with less mental fog. Very Pleased!
Been loving this in my daily smoothies. I did a good amount of research prior to choosing which maca to buy and the maca team is amazing. No bs ingredients, love that this company is family owned, and actually love the flavour it adds. Only downside is that I am in Canada and the dollar conversion plus shipping is very expensive... there are definitely less expensive brands out there.. Will have to think about where to order next time... I did purchase the largest size so it will last me quite some time.

Absolutely wonderful
Now that I bought the HUGE bag of Maca Root, I really don't think I'll ever go a morning without it. If I want something cold, I put it in a blueberry, spinach and almond milk smoothie. If I want a hot drink, it goes right in my coffee. It's got a wonderful malted caramel flavor to it. I highly recommend it.
