About Our Tri-Color Maca

We call our tri-color maca capsules and powders “heritage harvest” products because they are made from the traditional blend of all 3 major maca colors. Historically, maca roots have been lumped together for consumption. Even though a maca harvest produces a variety of colorful roots, ranging from light beige, to maroon, to dark gray, these roots were only separated by color starting in the 1990s. At that time research began pointing to slight differences between the nutritional potency and value of each of the colors.

With our tri-color products we thought to turn back to clock by simplifying things and mixing the colors together again. Tri-color products are less expensive because the roots need not be separated at harvest and through storage and processing. These products, including our raw tri-color maca capsules are a great way to get some of the benefits of each of the three major colors of maca. We often recommend them to people just getting started with maca.

What Is The Difference Between Raw Organic Maca Capsules and Powder?

It can be difficult to choose between maca powders and maca capsules when you are first starting out. Fortunately, we can make that easier for you on one level. Unlike many competitors, all of our capsules, including raw tri-color maca capsules, contain only 100% pure maca powder. We use absolutely no fillers, flow agents or other chemicals to produce them.
