Our premium gelatinized red maca capsules contain 100% premium gelatinized red maca powder and no other ingredients. We do not use fillers or additives of any kind, which insures that you receive the most out of adding maca root to your life.
All of our maca products are carefully and consciously grown, processed and handled. They come from an organic farming co-op near Junin, Peru, the traditional farming area for maca root. We work only with producers who own and manage their lands at a local grass roots level. About Premium Gelatinized Red Maca Capsules
Our gelatinized premium red maca capsules contain powder that is made from 100% red maca roots. They are different in a couple of ways.
First, what makes this maca “premium” is the way in which it is processed. Instead of being sundried, maca roots are fresh processed immediately after harvest. After coming out of the ground they are cleaned in a citrus solution, ground into a pulp and low temperature dried. This special processing leaves more glucosinolates (potential anti-cancer nutrients) in the final product
Second these capsules contain maca powder that has been “gelatinized.” Gelatinization is a process in which Maca is heated to high temperatures (160F / 70C). The heat causes the starch molecules in maca to irreversibly dissolve and the result is a powder that has had some of its nutrients compromised but is easier to digest than raw maca. It’s important to note that nothing is added to maca during the gelatinization process.

Just started taking red and like the changes in my body and mind.will be trying powder next time.easyer to take I hope.sibo issue. 4 pills to 1 glass of water and my stomach is overflow. I feel stuffed. That's why I think in a short glass I will mix the powder in something or coffee?

Red maca
I don’t believe this product is balancing my hormones after taking 6 per day for about a year. Even after use of this product still suffer from hair loss, vaginal dryness, chin hair, irregular periods, mood swings. Maybe it is doing something but not much. Hot flashes gone!
I have been taking Maca for a little over a month. Within days I noticed an increase in energy. However, the biggest win is my post-menopausal hot flashes diminished over the first few days of using Maca and now a month later they are nearly gone. I may have a very mild feeling of warmth (we are also well into Summer with temps in the high 80s) but is passes quickly. And best of all, I am SLEEPING through the night comfortably. No more kicking off the covers, getting cold and covering back up, getting hot and kicking them back off. This happened all night long!! No more! I can actually sleep with blankets. Nothing like being warm under the blankets in a nice cool room. Perfect sleeping. I am currently taking 5 capsules which seems to be the ideal dose for me at this time. The first few weeks my stomach was a little unsettled when taking the Raw Maca caps. I switched over to the gelatinized caps and had no issues. Now I combine the both with no issues. It may just take a little time to get adjusted. I wish I knew about this when I was getting my periods, I think it would have helped!! I love that is is considered a food and not a supplement. Hightly recommend and I have been telling everyone about it. I will continue to take this and hopefully see more beneficial results over the next month or so.

Not for me
I’m pretty bummed this didn’t do much for me except give me a solid week of stomach cramps and a longer menstrual cycle than normal. I took 5 capsules over 4 weeks and during that 4th week I developed incredibly painful stomach cramps. Once I stopped taking them, only thing I had changed in my diet, within a day the cramps were gone. It lengthened my cycle by 5 full days. I wish it had helped me in the way it seems to for everyone else! I did see that a small percentage of people do experience bad side effects so it wasn’t totally unexpected. Usually the digestive issues only occur with raw products. However, they do sometimes happen with Premium products. We'll reach out via email to see if we can help further...

Help Balance my Hormones
I've taken these capsules for a few months now and noticed my skin is a bit clearer, my period symptoms are more mild, and I'm less bloated. Also- I am on antidepressants and struggle with libido. I have noticed an improvement in that area since taking these too!!

Red Maca Root
Started taking this product after reading about the possible beneficial effects for an enlarged prostate. Little did I know it would shoot my PSA up by over 1.5 points. After further research, I found it can indeed have the effect of raising PSA for men that already experiencing high levels. If you are under medical supervision for prostate issues that involve periodic PSA readings, I would not recommend taking this product. While people do respond differently, I can only relate this was the effect on me.

Product quality seems great. Love the company. Doesn't seem to be having much of an effect, but perhaps it is too soon and/or I am not taking enough. Wish I had understood difference between "Premium" and regular, as I probably would have chosen differently.
