There are two key processing steps that distinguish premium gelatinized black maca.

First, the maca roots are fresh-processed shortly after harvest rather than sun-dried in the traditional way. Fresh processing involves cleaning, grinding, and drying the roots soon after harvest using controlled low-temperature drying.

Second, the dried maca is gelatinized. Gelatinization is a process in which maca powder is heated under controlled conditions to remove the natural starch content. The result is a powder that many people find easier to digest.

    This is my 6 month review of the Black Maca from The Maca Team. I have been taking 4 capsules daily for just over 6 months and have found that they are the best product I’ve personally used. For about a year and a half prior, I was taking various Maca/Ashwagandha mixes from other reputable manufacturers (like Irwin Naturals) and did not have the same experience I’ve had with The Maca Team brand Black Maca. I have had ongoing circulation challenges in my legs due to past injuries from military service, and taking Black Maca has supported better overall circulation for me. The organically sourced Maca Root feels like a more natural option that has worked well as part of my routine.

    Took according to instructions, and titrated up to 12 capsules/day as directed. Never experienced any benefit whatsoever. Tried the Red Maca also, never felt anything or experienced any benefit. Neither did my wife. Hi Robert: We've reached out via email to see if we can troubleshoot a bit with you. There are a few things that might help.

    I've taken a good number of supplements and herbs over a good number of years, and the effectiveness of this company's black maca, while subtle at first, stands out quite a bit. It's like checking on accumulating interest after some time; you're shocked by the progress if you're patient, and this is no different: I've improved my overall energy, libido, and strength since my first order (working on my 2nd now), and the effects/benefits accumulate over time!

I've tried various maca brands over the last 20 years and The Maca Team brand is very special. There is definitely a difference when it comes to the quality and colors of the maca.
