I have been taking red maca powder to balance my hormones and it absolutely works! It took about 4 weeks for it to kick in so be patient and be sure to take it everyday to see results. The way I take it is by heating in up in a cup of my homemade chaga tea with a half teaspoon of Ashwaghanda which is another adaptogen. I then add a little maple syrup and it is so rich and earthy tasting. Also, my skin has never felt softer and my hair is very thick and luxurious.
