I used to use the capsules but I find this easier to adjust and I enjoy it in coffee and tea. I am a long time user, love the product for post menopausal and pre. It just makes me feel better and I notice a difference when I miss talking it.

I've used the Red Raw Maca Powder before but this is the first time I'm using the Premium version. I love it just as much. It is definitely a bit stronger in flavor, which is no problem for me. Have used for years, this last bag I purchased doesn't seem the same. I usually out a scoop in hot water, mix and drink. This bag clumps up not dissolving making it hard to consume. From The Maca Team: Thanks Jenyl for reaching out. We have responded via email directly to you. Since maca is a natural product there can be slight variation from batch to batch, depending on a lot of factors including the weather, the farm on which it was grown, when it was harvested, etc. Clumping happens because maca is hydrostatic (easily retains water). We try to break it up before packaging but sometimes a few do remain. If that's the case, we recommend blending maca in a blender with your liquid of choice to break it up. Hope that helps!

Maca experience
I had a hard time trying this as a supplement, even though I was warned that the taste was not pleasant. I took about one teaspoon in several different forms, like mixed into pancakes, a smoothie, and made into capsules. There was a rotten flavor to the powder that I had trouble getting over - it was worst in the smoothie, but taking a capsule gave me burps with the rotten flavor. It actually made me gag quite hard in the smoothie, and each time after taking it I had a bad stomach ache, kind of like a small stomach bug. I tried it about 7 times, couldn’t keep going because the taste continues to make me gag. From The Maca Team: We're sorry for your experience Olivia. Maca root does have an earthy flavor that some people really don't like. We might suggest that you try one of our maca extracts instead. Those taste sweet (because of the vegetable glycerin used in the extraction process). Those should help. We've also reached out on email.

Best that I have used so far, got educated about Maca a long time ago but only used it sparingly. Recently was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate, knew I had to start taking Red Maca for it, one year later my prostate is normal sized now. Urologist can't believe it, I don't do pharmaceutical anything.
