This is the first time I have tried the red maca and I am glad I did. I can tell the first week the difference it makes with my day to day routine. I don't sleep much but this helps me get throughout my day without winding down in the afternoon. I use it in everything I find it will taste good in, which is a-lot. I recommend this to all my friends and family and when they try it, they thank me for it. For those who don't I usually give them samples to try and most after trying notice the difference in their day to day lives and then order their own. Be careful which type you purchase...no free return shipping
I was doing an online, liver reset program with Izabella Wentz, PharmD for folks with Hoshimoto's Thyroiditis. She recommended The Maca Team for high quality maca. I took the company's online quiz, and ended up with Red Maca before reading further Dr. Wentz only recommends the lightest color maca for folks with Hoshimoto's. Unfortunately, there are no free returns, and It would have cost me $12 to ship the 1 lb. bag back,.After reading up on the website some more, I decided to use it for my husband. I add it to his smoothies for prostate health. He just had shoulder surgery, so I thought it might be helpful with him needing to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I think it just may be working, thought it's only been a week or so. I may order the gelatinized light color maca at a later date.
